EnSpectSoft provides environmental health specialists the ability to manage food establishment inspections based upon food safety regulations. Establishment types can include restaurants, hotels, cafeterias, hospitals, nursing homes, day care centers and retail stores.

First and foremost, EnSpectSoft provides a tool for performing on-site establishment inspections — inspectors can enter critical and non-critical violations and temperature observations while in the field. Following data entry an inspection report can be printed for the establishment representative. Additionally, based upon the results of an inspection, a rating is calculated that can be used to score or grade an establishment.

Users with appropriate permission level can manage establishment owners, establishments and other related data. System administrators can manage user permissions, food codes and other data for drop-down lists, such as inspection types and priority levels.
